Artist: Des'ree Lyrics
Song:
You Gotta Be Lyrics
Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears
Stand up and be counted
Don't be ashamed to cry
You gotta be
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
Herald what your mother said
Readin' the books your father read
Try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time
Some may have more cash than you
Others take a different view
My oh my heh, hey
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
Don't ask no questions, it goes on without you
Leaving you behind if you can't stand the pace
The world keeps on spinning
You can't stop it, if you try to
This time it's danger staring you in the face
Oh oh oh Remember
Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears
My oh my heh, hey, hey
You gotta be
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together

| When I was a teenager, I liked going to the movies by myself and I still do. Today I went to see Notes on a Scandal starring Dame Judi Dench. If you watch the trailer it does look disturbing and it was but it was a great lesson in human nature. It is one of those films that really makes you think. As I started to process and talk to Grace about it, I realized that this film (possible spoiler coming up so if you want to see it perhaps you should stop reading now) clearly shows us something about the nature of man. (that being mankind) Man was not meant to live in isolation. Man is a social being. When this need is not met, it can become twisted and when it does, it becomes ugly and hurtful. This film depicts that perfectly. There is a lot of food for thought in this film. If you enjoy dry English humour and if you can stand some cursing and s_xual scenes then perhaps you will want to check it out. BTW Dame Judi is an amazing actress.

| "No wonder you're so cool!" responded Tanner (who is one Grace's students) after he asked her how old she was. For those of you who didn't know, Grace is teaching speech and debate at a christian school here in Gainesville. The kids had no idea how old she was until Tanner asked and some of them call her Miss Grace. So now its out, she's just 17 to those students but my little girl has become a young woman. | | |
